Shakespeare visits

The Globe Shakespeare visited the school to share his life story, to answer questions and to listen to the older students recite their monologues from Macbeth, Midsummers Night's Dream, The Tempest  and Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare also listened to a song students wrote and admired the replica of The Globe which they designed and built.

William Shakespeare 2012

ShakespeareWritten by the older children
Verse One:
Once there was a boy named Romeo
With special thanks to Ken Hynson

And a girl named Juliet
They loved each other like two love doves
But their families always felt regret

CHORUS
Shakespeare, oh Shakespeare
What will happen next?
Shakespeare, oh Shakespeare
Among bards you are the best

Verse Two:
Another tragedy was Macbeth
Who killed the king to get his crown
Something evil this way comes
In a puddle of greed he drowned

CHORUS

Oberon, the fairy king
Sent his faithful servant Puck
To sprinkle a potion on sleeping eyes
But their scheme had little luck

CHORUS
